Here are the steps needed to transform a chunk of firewood into a wooden bowl.

Step 3) Large circle shape drawn on block



 

After I drew out the largest round circle I could on the flattened side of the block, I now needed to go to another tool to rough out the shape.

Step 7) Marked the Center in Preparation for mounting Circular Steel Turning Plate

Step 8) Turning Plate Mounted

Step 9) Wood Mounted on Lathe

Step 10) Turning can now Begin!



The Block of wood now mounted on the Lathe. 

 

 Now to carefully "Lathe" out the flat spots and shape the exterior of  the Wooden Bowl.
